Olbia is the closest airport, Easyjet fly regularily
to Olbia direct from London. (www.easyjet.com).
Ryanair now fly direct from Dublin to Alghero on
the north west of the island (www.ryanair.com)
this would involve a one hour drive to reach Olbia.
Many other ways are available by air, but most include
2 flights via Italy (www.meridiana.com)
or England from Ireland.
Hiring a vehicle in advance is advisable and many
car hire companies operate from the main airports
i.e. Hertz.
